  • Expression of Interest: Design & Fieldwork Technician (Flexible Work Options)

Location: Auckland (or other locations as required)
Work Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Casual

Are you someone who loves the outdoors, enjoys working with technology, and has a keen eye for detail? Whether you're looking for a full-time career move or prefer part-time or casual work that fits your lifestyle—we want to hear from you!

At Frame Group, we work on projects that shape outdoor spaces across New Zealand. We're on the lookout for practical problem-solvers who are comfortable working in the field, capturing accurate data, and learning new tools and software. If you're adaptable and ready to grow, we’re happy to invest in your learning.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Collecting and capturing data in the field (including track assessments and inspections).

    • Using terrain modeling software (like RoadEng or similar) for mapping and design support.

    • Collaborating with project managers to ensure designs align with project needs.

    • Supporting construction site inspections and health & safety compliance checks.

    • Assisting with technical drawings and documentation (experience with CAD is a plus, but not essential).

    • Keeping our equipment and records in top shape.

About You: You might not tick every box, and that's okay! If you bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we'll support you to grow into the role.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

    • Are comfortable working outdoors in a variety of environments.

    • Have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with data and technology.

    • Are familiar with (or willing to learn) tools like RoadEng, CAD software, or GIS platforms.

    • Enjoy problem-solving and working as part of a collaborative team.

    • Are safety-conscious and organised in your work approach.

Your background might be in construction, surveying, environmental science, outdoor recreation, or another hands-on technical field—but if you're adaptable and eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

    Why Join Us?

    • Flexible work arrangements (full-time, part-time, or casual to fit your lifestyle).

    • Opportunities for professional development and on-the-job learning.

    • Be part of a supportive team that values innovation and practical solutions.

    • Work on meaningful outdoor projects that make a real impact.

    Interested? Let’s Talk.

If you’re excited by this opportunity but unsure if you meet all the requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We value curiosity, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to learning.

Send us your expression of interest today and tell us a bit about your skills, background, and what kind of work arrangement fits you best. We can't wait to hear from you!
