Palmerston North City Council engaged Frame Group to design and contract manage the construction of new section of the He Ara Kotahi pathway a 2.9 km long shared cycling and walking trail between Dairy Farm Road in the Massey University Farm and Bells Road at Linton Camp in Palmerston North, Manawatu.  

Project features:

  • Design of approximately 390m of 3m wide of track

  • Design of approximately 3.5km of 2.5m wide of track

  • Turitea bridge super structure: 36m long× 3.0m wide glulam bridge

  • Farm track overbridge superstructure: 36m long×2.5m wide glulam timber bridge

  • Greenwoods bridge:  10m long×2.5m wide glulam timber bridge

  • Design of approximately 70m of timber boardwalk

  • Kahuterawa Bridge: 45m long x 1.5m wide timber suspension bridge

Frame Group worked with OPUS International Consultants who designed the Turitea Bridge and Farm Track Overbridge substructure.
