Trelissick Park contains the scenic stream and native bush below Ngaio Gorge Road, Ngaio, Wellington. Trelissick Park and Ngaio Gorge is being restored by community volunteers to create a beautiful wilderness area.
Frame Group was engaged by the Trelissick Park Group to design a new pedestrian bridge across the Kaiwharawhara Stream. The new bridge provides users and locals access to the park from Oban Street. A single span glulam bridge design was used to meet the stringent conditions for protection of the stream values, and to ensure sufficient clearance for flood flows.
Officially opened 26 September 2020.
