Frame Group has a demonstrated history of delivering expert advisory services in relation to our Fields of Expertise to a wide range of organisations including local councils, government departments and private companies.

The types of advice we provide include:

  • network strategy advice for tracks, trails, paths and associated access structures (including in relation to objectives, target markets, user groups, use types, demand, and standards);

  • asset management data categorisation advice;

  • capital works programme advice;

  • maintenance programme advice; and

  • training of staff and/or contractors in respect of best practice maintenance and construction methodologies.

CONDITION ASSESSMENTS

Frame Group has extensive experience with the provision of both one-off and regular scheduled inspections and assessments of the safety and compliance of assets within both the outdoor recreation and forestry sectors.

These assessments provide organisations with a clear understanding of the assets under their control, and the ability to plan for their maintenance and renewal as part of their asset management process.

Our detailed reports include detailed location and physical attribute data, load capacity assessment, condition assessment, required maintenance items, estimated life span, estimated replacement costs and the level of compliance with relevant codes and standards.

We also have the experience and knowhow to detail the specific remediation requirements of any issues we find and provide associated cost estimates.

FEASIBILITY STUDIES

Frame Group can provide valuable input at the conceptual stage of projects, providing broad technical advice, and identifying options and opportunities that might otherwise be overlooked.

We start by gaining a comprehensive understanding of our clients' objectives.

We then work through a process that helps identify potential challenges and opportunities, together with determining the necessary resources, timeline and costs required for successful implementation and ongoing maintenance.

Outputs of the feasibility review include parameter and classification recommendations, concept maps and drawings, identification of consent and specialist advice requirements (such as geotechnical, ecological, archaeological, etc), and cost estimates for design, construction and maintenance.

We are experts at conducting pre-inspection desk research using sophisticated terrain modelling and mapping tools – which reduce time and cost throughout the project lifecycle.

Clients also value our ability to propose innovative design options that help clarify their thinking and the objective of the original brief.

DESIGN AND ENGINEERING

The Frame Group team excels in delivering highly professional design work and structural engineering solutions across our various Fields of Expertise.

We bring together decades of practical experience of what works in the great outdoors from a design and engineering perspective, with the latest in engineering know-how. This includes utilising state-of-the-art software such as SPACE GASS and Mathcad Prime.

Our in-house chartered structural engineers are capable of providing required producer statements to facilitate the consent process,  providing an efficient and streamlined experience for our clients.

We also have the inhouse expertise to create 3D rendered concept images, together with 2D and 3D maps, plans, and drawings utilising industry-leading civil and structural draughting software including Revit, RoadEng, Infraworks and Civil 3D.

Our maps and drawings prioritise practicality and ease of use for our clients, stakeholders, and contractors.

PLANNING AND CONSENTS

Frame Group has the necessary know-how to assist clients in managing the consent and planning processes. We have a track record of professional competence in preparing and submitting building consent applications, ensuring successful outcomes within designated timeframes.

Our specialist expertise also allows us to anticipate possible design challenges and devise feasible solutions before submitting plans. This intricate understanding of technical prerequisites can result in significant time and project cost savings.

In situations that demand it, Frame Group also has the capability to enlist external planning specialists to help prepare resource consent application documents.
