Frame Group is proud to have worked with the Sapphire Team and @bayofplentyregionalcouncil of Plenty Regional Council to upgrade approximately 1.2km of track network in this stunning native bush reserve to protect against Kauri dieback disease. #designandengineering #constructionmanagement Some project highlights: Approximately 176m length of low timber boardwalk. 4.5m long x 1.2m wide bridge. The time has come - the official opening of the Kauri Glen Tree-Top Bridge, Boardwalk and Track as part of the kauri dieback mitigation upgrades. Frame Group is both excited and proud to have been a part of this amazing project, from concept design to detailed design to construction management. This project, like many others our team has had the privilege to work on, will have a long and lasting impact on both ourselves and the community - allowing all members of the community to experience kauri and other native bush at tree-top level. Wow, what a busy couple of months it has been here at Frame Group. We are excited to show you all the things we have been busy with. Check this one out: Brian and Jenna carried out the construction monitoring / inspections of precast concrete footings and slabs for the construction of a new causeway crossing between Rangitoto Island and Motutapu Island. Jenna was excited for the opportunity to provide the design drawing as she has fond memories of crossing the existing causeway and making the trek to the @Motutapu Outdoor Education Camp.

To prepare for the future, environmentally sensitive structures are required that can cope with extreme weather and flooding together with climate change, potential earthquakes, and changing visitor trends. The team is utilising early geotechnical, hydrological, and structural studies so that the long-term future of these community assets can be properly understood.

Hot off our Sustainability and Silver awards win at the ACE New Zealand for Kauri Dieback Mitigations in Northland's Walking Tracks. Drew, our Senior Designer / Project Manager, has just undertaken a final site walk over for Stage 2 upgrade works within Chatswood Reserve located on Auckland’s North Shore. Frame Group was engaged by Auckland Council for professional services to prepare a walking track renewal programme. Subsequently, Frame Group was engaged for design documentation and construction management for the staged upgrade of tracks and structures in Chatswood Reserve. Due to the presence of kauri trees in parts of the reserves particular attention was taken in implementing mitigation measures to reduce the risk of spread of Kauri Dieback, caused by Phytophthora taxon agathidicida (PA), a fungus-like disease that can kill kauri trees of any age. Project features: • Re-surfacing of aggregate track. • Other track upgrade works e.g. timber retaining walls, track drainage, boxed steps and geoweb. • Timber staircases. • Timber boardwalks. • 6 new timber bridges of varying lengths. • Timber koru platform. #miltonharwardconstruction
